Before Debates, Romney Faces a Daunting Path

This recent article in the New York Times highlights the changes that the Republicans are planning to make in their campaign before the upcoming elections. With only a couple of month’s left until the 2012 election, both presidential candidates are battling it out, trying to win over the *swing states. Some of the Republicans in the swing states are worried that because Mitt Romney isn't campaigning as much in their states, that he might lose their vote. Recently, Romney’s 47% remark created a set back in his campaign and because of this, his advisers are suggesting a new campaign strategy. Romney’s comment has recently given Democrats a strong advantage in the race because they are now able to use Romney’s comment against him in their own campaign.  However, Republicans still have hope that despite Obama’s lead in the electoral votes, the Republicans can still win the election because they believe that “everything could change in an instant”.  With issues such as unemployment, the War, and rebuilding a strong nation still lurking, the Republicans are planning on using these issues in their campaign to win over swing states.

This article is a must read because highlights Romney’s recent mishap and it mentions what the Republicans are changing in their campaign strategy.

*Swing states are states that don’t have a single candidate and party dominating the state. Some swing states include; Ohio, Florida, Michigan and Nevada.
